Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, whose music name is Samthing Soweto, is just a renowned South African artiste, he is a singer, producer and also a songwriter. The entertainer gained some prominence when he assisted a fellow South Africa house artiste Sun-El Musician on his acclaimed track called “Akanamali”, the song was dropped 2 years back in 2017.

The SA entertainer was born and brought up in Soweto, South Africa, perhaps his stage name. He has over the years gained some major recognition and cupped some major awards for himself.

The Sa artiste after successfully releasing some Amapiano songs, decided to do something better by releasing his studio album Isphithiphithi some months back right on the streets.

The album has in it, talk of town songs like Akulaleki just as other songs which features fellow amapiano singer Kabza De Small, Mlindo The Vocalist , amapiano producer DJ Maphorisa, and many others.

Of course many things have been said about Samthing Soweto and his career, but one thing we are very sure about is that the South African musician has stamped his name in the entertainment industry, and has also gathered uncountable number of fans for himself.

Recently we got a tip that a huge mural has been made in respect to the artiste and his album, and after a little questions and tour, it turns out to be true.

The creator of the Mural said, “The process of making the Mural was a beautiful and smooth one. Meeting Samthing Soweto at the beginning of it and getting to attend his album launch also played a huge part in the success of the project, as I got to experience the man behind the music and also the music by the man. So, I really got to be in touch with Isphithiphithi and depicting it in the Mural was pure fun and joy and I can only hope that it comes across as such to everyone who gets to see it.”

The Mural can be seen by general society in Johannesburg on Fox Street in Maboneng until Friday, 22 November 2019.

The QR code on the Mural permits passers-by who may not be mindful of Samthing Soweto’s music to snap and stream his collection on their picked gushing stage.

Buy the album on iTunes here, and stay tuned to Amapiano for more interesting updates.
